Supplier of telematic software Ruptela has developed a new method for the tracking of vehicles in the LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) category.

From now on, the system can directly read specific CANbus data via the OBD II port in an easy and above all safe way.

The power of this new system is that it can be placed in an easy way. The GPS tracker is connected to the OBD II port thanks to a specially designed harness. After the installation, the GPS Tracker automatically detects the vehicle it is connected to and completes the setup itself.

This makes it easier and cheaper for the service providers to install the Tracker, which will help the customer to be helped faster and more easily. Due to the simplified installation technique, the mechanic does not have to disassemble wiring harnesses or make other modifications to the vehicle.

Safe and risk-free

Partly thanks to the new installation method, the system does not affect the vehicle warranty. Thanks to the communication through the OBD II port, this complies with the so-called Automotive ISO Standard, which minimises the likelihood of error reading.

Communication is one-sided. It is only possible to read the data. No configuration of the vehicle is required. Ruptela manufactures all used parts themselves, so that the customer is always assured of the quality that is used by Ruptela.
